About Me

I am honored to declare my candidacy for the Whitfield County Sheriff's Office. I have dedicated 18 years of my life to serving the citizens of Whitfield County, including many of those years as Sergeant over the Narcotics Division and Uniform Patrol Division. I would be proud to seek this pivotal position.

My decision to run follows many prayers, reflection, and encouragement from our community, and other emergency services personnel. I whole heartedly believe that the Whitfield County Sheriff's Office deserves a leader known for integrity, leadership skills, and a proven track record. These are all qualities that define my commitment to public service.

My campaign will be centered on the following fundamental values: Transparency, Integrity, Community Enrichment, and Accountability.

As someone devoted to faith, family, and community initiatives through volunteering as a recreational youth coach in Whitfield County, being involved in numerous activities that occur in the City and County, and a member of our Security Team at Fellowship Baptist Church in Rocky Face, where my family and I are members. I am recognized for my reliability and serving others. If entrusted with the responsibility I am profoundly committed to serving every resident in Whitfield County with fairness, a sense of security, and dedication.

My experience as a Sheriff's Deputy, strong organizational skills, 2200+ hours of training, and commitment to the community are all qualities I believe would allow me to fulfill the demands of being Sheriff of Whitfield County. I will be dedicated first and foremost to developing stronger community connections including the connections and relationships with "in county" municipalities' along with bordering agencies. I will work hard to earn your unwavering trust, as a candidate equipped with experience and genuine dedication. I am prepared and eager to take on this responsibility.

Reducing Crime

Darren Pierce's top priority is to reduce crime rates in Whitfield County. With his experience in law enforcement, he has the knowledge and skills to implement effective strategies to keep our community safe. Transparency will be Key!

Community Engagement

I believes in building strong relationships between law enforcement and the community. He will work to foster trust, encourage open communication, and promote community engagement. I believe that having/hosting a Deputy/Citizen Academy would do great in educating the public and letting citizens know a little about the inner workings of the Sheriff's Office.

Drug Prevention

As a former Sergeant in the Narcotics Division, Darren Pierce understands the importance of drug prevention. I will focus on implementing programs and initiatives to combat drug abuse in our county. One of the top priorities to assist in combating the narcotics/drug problem in Whitfield County would be to get K-9's. We currently do not have any in our county. K-9's would be a hug asset and cut down on some of the current drug problem we have.

Enhancing Public Safety

I will work to enhance public safety by improving response times, increasing patrols in high-crime areas, and implementing proactive strategies to prevent crimes before they occur. I plan on running a transparent office. Meaning when there is crime happening in your area or neighborhood, you will be made aware. There will be social media pages to keep citizens alert and aware of any situation in their area.
